Muiredge Primary School is a non-denominational primary school with a current roll of 362. The school was built in 1897 and is a traditional two-storey building of that era. It is situated in the heart of Uddingston village, fairly near the station. The main building houses most classrooms but there are three classes in hutted accommodation. The school offers a bright, welcoming environment. The school aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include football, netball, cricket, hockey and rugby.
